Number 34: Blind Contour of Amaryllis

Finally!

I love blind contour drawing. You look only at the object, not at the page, as you draw. Often, in blind contour drawing, you never lift the pencil. There is a freedom to this practice, a lack of concern with outcome or product. But there is also a meditative quality, as your entire attention is bound to one object without pause.

This is our famous amaryllis, which has finally fully bloomed.
